International flight with multiple connections?

I'm planning on going to thailand next year...and as i look at the tickets ill be going from TPA to New york and then from new york to japan and from japan to thailand...and in japan we have a 12 hour layover...i know that usually you have to provide an address to enter a country...do i have to do that multiple times becuase im entering japan and thailand...or will i be ok with just thailand...
